In a group of 8, using the help of photographs, explore daylighting and architecture, artificial lighting and space, light and shadow.

And analyze the climatic conditions and data, and how they are fundamental to the shading in architecture, through spaces and times.

A3 compilation of photographs and A4 write-ups on the analysis submitted.

Assignment 2

Case Study: Ventilation and Acoustics

First, in the group of 8, choose a building with passive design strategy for tropical climate within Klang Valley. Then, research on the design strategies and details for them to perform best in tropical climate.

After, individually, choose a space in chosen building to analyze on Ventilation or Acoustics. Monitor and measure the environmental factors, both natural and man-made, and how they are affecting the case study, JAR Coffee, and propose a passive solution.
