Ah yes, the last one, finally. The last assignment for the module CTS, is to make up a performance according to the sound clip my team chose out of the four the lecturers gave us. I strongly suspected that the lecturers kept the best for the last as it was really one of the most enjoyable assignment we have been given this whole semester. My whole team had a lot of fun all the way, instead of thinking of it as an assignment, we thought of it as a performance to be presented.
In the beginning of this project, my teammates( Sabrin, Ian, Yi Qing, Francis, Kristyn, Anson, Gemma, Owen, Kah Ying) and I have many ideas, in fact more than we can handle, therefore , we have a few clash of opinions on the idea development, at first.
Then, after a few tutorials, we were told to generate ideas based solely on the sound clip's features, and not the origin of the sounds in the sound clip. So, all our ideas were not to be used. We had to think of ideas all over again. "Back to square one", as some would say. We, then, listened to the sound clip over and over again, just to grasp onto the tempo and the atmosphere conveyed through the mixture of the sounds.
After some rethinking and idea-searching, we then concluded and decided to go for, making a final artwork, throughout the whole performance. And all we had to think was dance moves for the performance, then we are good. Before the day of the performance, we all went for some shopping in order to coordinate our costume for the performance. and also had one of our members to buy all of us masks. Without forgetting about the IDJ that we have to be doing.
On D-Day, i was extremely nervous and was sweating all over while we all did our last preparation during the performances of the others' performances. Nonetheless, i think we all did our best during our showtime, which made all of us very happy.
Oh! I almost forgot to tell you guys, that we made a teaser for our performance which had nothing to do with it, so it's basically called a fake teaser.
